Pacific Counseling Group (PCG) has been designing and delivering high-quality behavioral health programs across Hawaiʻi since 1997. We specialize in innovative, cost-effective, and culturally grounded service models that help agencies expand their reach while minimizing risk and staying within budget.
Home & Community-Based Care
We’ve been providing home and community-based services since 1997 because real change happens where clients live, learn, and connect. Our providers are trained to work with the entire family (and extended ʻohana) with respect for Hawaiʻi’s unique cultural values.
Every PCG clinician receives intensive training in confidentiality, boundaries, cultural competence, safety, and evidence-based practice, ensuring high-quality and ethical care in every community we serve.
Our Services
PCG and its affiliates provide a full continuum of behavioral health services, including:

We also recruit and retain a robust team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, peer specialists, paraprofessionals, and trainees.

OUR FOUNDERS
Our leadership team — Bob Lanser, LCSW; Dr. David Wittenberg, PsyD; and Dr. Heather Wittenberg, PsyD — each bring over 25 years of experience directing, managing, and providing mental health and outreach services in Maui County. Together, they lead a network of licensed mental health professionals, outreach specialists, administrative staff, and clinical sites serving Maui, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, and the broader State of Hawaiʻi.
Heather Wittenberg
PSY.D.
Though PCG was formally established in 2021 as a Hawaiʻi-registered LLC, our roots run deep. We were founded as a complementary partner to Behavioral Health Services of Maui (BHS), which has served thousands of residents yearly since 1997 through crisis response, outreach, case management, and clinical care. The same team of managers oversees both organizations.
